Australian Disc Golf (ADG) have announced that Queensland will be hosting the Australian Disc Golf Championships (ADGC) in November 2022!
This will be the final event of the 2022 ADG National tour, and we won’t be hosting it again for another 7 years. This is a special opportunity for us to showcase Queensland’s brilliant disc golf community and some of our great courses to the rest of the country.
Queensland Disc Golf (QDG) are calling for anyone interested in joining the organising committee for ADGC 2022 to contact us ASAP.
Please email a brief statement to secretary.qdg@gmail.com including:
- Name and location
- Any previous experience organising large events, especially previous disc golf events
- Any previous experience as a TD (Tournament Director). Note: as per ADG requirements, ADGC 2022 will need a non-playing TD for the event.
- Any particular skills you can bring to the team
- The last disc you lost, where and how
Those applying should familiarise themselves with the new ADG tour guidelines, and be aware that any potential venue must have hosted a sanctioned disc golf event already. See https://www.australiandiscgolf.com/tournament-formats/ for details.
The deadline for initial expressions of interest is next Tuesday 23rd November. We know this is short notice so if you know anyone who may be interested in this opportunity, please forward this to them/tag them/call them and let them know.
We’re stoked that Queensland gets to show the rest of the country how we roll in 2022. Let’s put on a great show 🤙
Robin (Bob)
QDG Secretary
